At the risk of repeating myself, pairs are putting themselves in advantageous situations with these inaccurate and inadequate explanations. This can't be right. If it's too much effort to agree what a single raise of 1 means in competition, my advice is play four-card majors.

It has become a theme of late. Way too much tolerance for pairs who don't know what their basic first-round bids mean. In the above case, the score should have reverted to 2 barring concrete evidence that 2 was systemically non-forcing.
