I believe putting the suit led consistently on a specific side is actually against ACBL laws, as it helps declarer remember the opening lead. Maybe you were only referring to the order (and not the position) of the suit though.

What was West's hand? I would guess an adjustment to 3C would be warranted if the 3H bid used the UI of the alert.

It is true I might lead the A without the king. But if I didn't have the king, I wouldn't be leading the T at trick 2. Not to mention the bidding would be quite unlikely if I didn't hold the king.
