You could be right. I thought that the chance of a cashing A with partner not holding the K and there being another trick somewhere as being greater than the chance of a cashing K and there being no additional trick. There are some other ways that it might matter ...

Suit handling question
Leading the ten picks up stiff nine on the left, while leading low from the table gains on stiff honor on the right, but, I am not totally sure how to capitalize on that. Best seems to be leading low from hand and running the card if LHO follows only ...

I think with 21-22 and a moderate five card suit partner might double and bid his suit. With an Acol strong two he would jump to three spades.
