Thanks, Fred Gitelman
Thanks Fred and Sheri for the bridge education products, especially Bridge Master and the deals of the week. I have enjoyed and greatly benefited from them.
Curtis Cheek Wins 2019 Lazard Sportsmanship Award
Congratulations! Very well deserved. My Dad played against Curtis Cheek and a client in 2009; on one deal, Curtis’ partner did not see an initial bid, which led to a ridiculous auction, and they conceded a -2000 penalty. My Dad recounts that Curtis went out of his way to comfort ...
Prahalad Rajkumar's bidding problem: 62 6 AKQJ87 QT93
Sorry, I didn't see this comment. I was not looking for specific pet methods for this problem. This simply seems like a decision on how many diamonds to bid (if at all). Methods in use didn't seem to apply to this problem (I suppose standard expert agreements apply ...
Point of No Return

Prahalad Rajkumar's bidding problem: A5 AKQ984 AQ AK4
Thanks all for the responses. Michal Czerwonko nailed the problem. I believe 3 should be natural. 4 would be non-forcing. I'm not sure what Grue switches are; from the responses, it looks like that would solve the problem. Otherwise, how do you make a forcing heart raise ...
Prahalad Rajkumar's bidding problem: Q754 A94 KJ75 A5
What are your thoughts about bidding 3 now, John?
Mark Chen's bidding problem: Axxxx AKJTxx --- Kx
These are my sentiments as well. I see no way to both protect my club king as well as involve partner, so I make (what I think to be) a practical call so that the defense does not lead through my K.
Watch 1983 TV Series “Master Bridge” on YouTube.
Thank you very much Shireen! I have read the book several times over, and absolutely loved it. It is a delight now to watch the videos!
In The Well: David Berkowitz
Hi David, Thanks for being in the well! 1) What are your favorite bridge books? 2) How did you resolve conflicts and arguments with your partners?
What is your plan in 3NT?
