Marten La Haye's lead problem: A953 Q863 JT54 K
I think its likely South is short in hearts, so he might be able to make 1 or 2 ruffs there. If he has a long club suit, he probably is not able to set them up in time. What was the right lead Marten?
Merijn Groenenboom's bidding problem: Q2 Q972 AJ82 K32
Most people bid 4D. Meant as: 1) Nat 2) cuebid of Heart 3) waiting bid planning to pass both 4H and 4S by pd? Probably should have given this problem a little different
Marten La Haye's bidding problem: KJ98742 A3 Q743 ---
what happend in practise?
Merijn Groenenboom's bidding problem: J KT2 QT742 QT63
In practise partner had AQT76 Q9 A9 A985 2S went down 4. Partner thought that I could see it should be a penalty double..
Marten La Haye's bidding problem: KJ98742 A3 Q743 ---
I agree. Especially 4S over 3S looks Obvious to me. DBL should show a different type of hand IMO ( a good hand without a clear bid), but if you have the agreement that it shows this type of hand, I think pass is Obvious now as we showed our hand ...
Jim Priebe's bidding problem: 53 KJT74 KQ6 KT9
and then pass 3H?
Liam Milne's bidding problem: J7 K6 AQJ2 AK975
Standard to play 2nt not as natural? In the other problem 67% bid 2nt.. Standard to play it as club + a second suit is even less standard. If partner now holds xxx Axx KTxxx xx, we play 3C in 6-2 instead of 5D in 5-4 fit..
Merijn Groenenboom's lead problem: T AJ94 KQJ53 AT6
In practise partner had xxx x T9xxx xxxx . The ace of heart lead was the right one indeed. I was thinking that it is unlikely to develop a D trick, so maybe the best chance is a H ruff indeed. Even if pd has a doubleton heart this will probably ...
Kevin O'Dea's bidding problem: J53 AJ432 Q Q752
A third poll is needed to see what people will do in case partner bid 4H over 4D..
Henry Bethe's bidding problem: A5 J7432 --- K98643
I would have bid 2NT instead of 2H and 4C instead of pass to show my hand. I dont understand why pass and 4H have the majority here. How can you never bid clubs? What is the downside here ? Partner can have: Kxx AK xxxx Axxx ? 7C is cold. Or ...
