Anyone else not thrilled with the "new" BBO
There are some features of the new system that need to be updated, but the one that is keeping me using the Flash drive version for now is the lack of speed under the new version. I am a naturally fast player and cannot stand it when the speed of ...
Martin Lindfors's bidding problem: AKQxxx Qxx --- Txxx
Agree completely; why didn't we make the automatic 5 bid last time? We have outstanding trumps (6 of them with the AKQ) and we have a void. We have serious slam interest if partner has controls in & .
Leo Lasota's bidding problem: JT986432 A754 --- 3
Preempts make the opponents guess; sounds like you are just being a sore loser if you immediately file a recorder after you get burnt. These were very strong opponents playing against me, and they congratulated me on doubling 5 as they understood the reasoning. This particular team lost a ...
Leo Lasota's bidding problem: JT986432 A754 --- 3

Leo Lasota's bidding problem: JT986432 A754 --- 3

Daryl Fisher's bidding problem: 82 T87 95 K96543
3 free bid us certainly showed more than just a king.
Leo Lasota's bidding problem: J K8 QJ95 AQ9764
I chose to open the hand 1. Yes there is a major drawback in that I have two more than and we may end up in an inferior partial instead of a partial. Positives to opening 1 instead of 1 include: Easily rebidding ...
Leo Lasota's bidding problem: J K8 QJ95 AQ9764
Neither me nor my partner is ever going to double 3 and they are non-vul. If the bidding had gone (P)-P-(P)-1-(1)-1-(2)-3, it would have proceeded (P)-P-(3), and partner would have been on a guess ...
Plan for partner's confidence
I needed to find a way to hold my losers to three aces (//). I need to assume that LHO holds the Q (yes I could play for the singleton Q offside and bang down the K in dummy, but there would never be any reason to ...
Leo Lasota's bidding problem: --- KJT8643 A2 AQ84
In my book, partner can expect two defensive tricks from me for jumping to 4 at unfavorable with them already a passed hand. Therefore, if partner has some good , he would double 4. The auction proceeded: P-(1)-4-(4)-P-(P)-5- ...
