In The Well: Ralph Katz
Wow, Jim Zimmerman - I use to play against him in Cleveland. What ever happened to him?
Do records of the 1951 BB (USA v Italy) exist?
The 4th Annual international team match for the World Championship and the custody of the Bermuda Bowl was held at Monte Carlo, Monaco, January, 1954. The United States defeated the French team, 1953 European champions, by 49 match points (5400 points) in 224 boards. ......from the the publication by the ...
Precision 1C-1D-1H relay and 4441 hands
Berkowitz-Cohen-Johnson Precision did not separate out the 1 opener's 4441 hands so that responder could choose the contract after 1 - 1: They just rebid in the cheapest 4-cd major and let the system agreements take care of raising opener with 4-cd support, or showing only 3-cd ...
Who Will Direct the Directors?
Or open 1 with this 5 1/2 loser hand. Easy rebids and no game if partner passes. (An old strong club aficionado). However, the problem hand is a 3 1/2 loser hand, thus open 1. I am thinking about adding this caveat to my bidding arsenal ...
Who Will Direct the Directors?

Knoxville Sectional has 49 Tables for Pro-AM
Sunday Bracketed SWISS: 38 Teams in 5 brackets. Bracket 1 paid 14.79 silver (My team won!)
Knoxville Sectional has 49 Tables for Pro-AM
Saturday Table Counts: .....Open 29 + 24 = 53 .....499 12 + 9 = 21 .....99 9 + 7 = 16 Totals: 50 + 40 = 90 Grand Total: UP 8 tables
Knoxville Sectional has 49 Tables for Pro-AM
Good News for the non-life masters. Pro-AM was down 1 table from 2017. However, KOs look dead again. Oak Ridge Sectional in May, Unit 165 had no KOs and the Swiss on the last day was down 7 tables from 37 tables in 2017.
What do you think of "Un-Michaels"?
I play this as strong and the anchor suit is the non-touching suit while the other suit is unknown.
