Lynn Deas R.I.P.
Always the tough competitor and always looking for the fun in it all. She taught me about wish tricks! I think my favorite memory is of her sliding down a giant sand dune in Australia after we won in Perth in 1989. A great teammate. Thank you for everything Lynn ...
How about some levity to take our minds off the world's dilemma?
so Ellis which way to YOU play? I presume current since you did not have this accident with Steve
How about some levity to take our minds off the world's dilemma?
Many years ago, after a misere defense, my son, Paul Bethe, playing with Jason Feldman in a Junior World Championship said,"I thought we played upside down!" to which Jason responded "but I gave you upside down original count ..." "Oh, I play current count..." Would you believe that many years ...
How about some levity to take our minds off the world's dilemma?
Playing a club duplicate with my husband: 1 on my right, double by me, Pass, Pass back to opener who now bids 2. I pass and partner doubles it. 3 by my too clever opponent. so I double again. Down 1.
New Coronavirus Forum
First death of a bridge player from COVID-19 reported - in colorado Springs, she did not know she was ill
Beth Palmer (1952-2019)
Here is her playing record at the WBF
Beth Palmer (1952-2019)
Far too young. A bridge expert who was a real human being and sensible committee worker in addition to everything else. My deepest sympathies to Buffalo and Julie. It was a great pleasure to be her teammate for one of her world championships.
Beth Palmer (1952-2019)
Did you add her world championships? They were not listed when I looked (I was her teammate for one of them in 1989) and thank you for the edits you do there
GNT Format: Going Forward
Having a 3 team final is just absurd in my opinion. 2 team final s best
A GNT Debacle: Too Many Winners
Steve and I stopped playing this event mainly due to having a 3 way final which we thought was absurd. Also the way the qualifying swiss was run where we could not speak to our teammates at lunch because they had played boards we hadn't yet!
