While there are layouts where preserving trump entries is necessary - picture north with xx KJx KQ9x Jxxx - it doesn't look like a percentage line.

Declarer can pitch a losing heart on the third club if north doesn't cash the HK, which is still 10 tricks.

The actual line is pretty bad. If declarer is going to finesse the C10, they should do so without first cashing the CQ. That way, they make at least 11 tricks. However, the best line to me looks like Nigel's above.
