Others have commented about the 2003 Long Beach NABC which was a success in my opinion even though the tablecount was relatively modest for a summer NABC. Anaheim nationals seemed to have shifted to San Diego so that may open up possibilities in the LA area notwithstanding the cited difficulties ...

Mike: it WAS higher than $600K. This information is publicly available in the Bridge Bulletin archives - March IIRC.
Avoiding another Honolulu
Phil: Earlier this year (and prior to the Hawaii situation), the board implemented a practice where projected income statements are required before new NABC sites are approved. Hawaii NABC Needs Your Support
BoD member here. Karen: If the board meeting had been held in Memphis, the ACBL would have had to pay for the Memphis meeting PLUS about $50K. So, if a board member voted to hold the meeting in Hawaii, that board member saved the organization alot of money. As a ...
What did Larry Cohen say?
I prefer A, Q and A. If trumps are 3-2 you're home if clubs are 33, 42 or if west has a singleton JT (provided you finesse the 9 on the second round).
