Escape 1!Cx Down Four
I think it is reasonable to expect 200 vs part-score or 800 vs game. On a bad day, we lose in 500 vs 600 or 620. On a good day, we win in 500 vs 480 or 490.
Escape 1!Cx Down Four
The risk of doubling 1NT is that there might be a running suit in the dummy.
Escape 1!Cx Down Four
Yes, W can redouble and have E play 1S, which requires more careful defence, and N/S will likely bid their own contract.
Escape 1!Cx Down Four
Preferably without a double.
Escape 1!Cx Down Four
I am glad they don't since I was S. I think there was significant improvement late last year to how the bots recognize penalty double.
Bidding a Singleton Four Times
It hurts more when I try frantically to remember whether the partner sitting across the table now uses specific king or number of kings.
Mike Ma's bidding problem: KJ64 AJT72 3 754
Or if you don't open bad hands in the second seat.
Bidding a Singleton Four Times
Yes, there are potential risks in clubs, however, with 11 diamonds between them and singleton/void in a major, opponents would be expected to make some noise at favorable vulnerability even before hearing the 2 opening.
Bidding a Singleton Four Times
Very close -- A AKT98 AK74 A54 Trumps were 3-0 but a marked finesse picked them up.
Bidding a Singleton Four Times
I like the idea of using 5 to ask for the queen when trump is hearts. In all other situations we can use the regular queen asking.
