It's not a litmus test, it's a useless test of an unlikely hand. The first and main of any system should be to properly deal with the most likely hands, not the bizarre ones

From an information theoretic point of view, MUD is a disaster - the only thing which seems like a disaster is your knowledge of information theory. Please, educate yourself - http://pikier.com/bridgewars/sind/Systems%20in%20Defence.pdf

I'm here because I enjoy playing bridge. I'm not here because I enjoy ACBL problems. So please, fix your problems and stop sharing them with the rest of the world. We don't care.

One of the many posts which makes me wish there was a separate section, a different forum for North American problems only. Really, the rest of the world doesn't care and the game of bridge does not revolve around ACBL.

It's amazing that they have time to play cards with all this signalling going on.

1 - 1 - 2 (that's how 99% bid) - 3NT. The lesson is to go easy on The Bridge World and bid four-card suits when one has them.

Hope you feel that way too if somebody ever accuses you of cheating. After all, whatever or not accusing you would be a step too far, I really feel we should give respect to those who are attempting to determine the validity of cheating claims - regardless of due process and Ei incumbit probatio qui dicit, non qui negat.

I see a pattern!
Every time when the deal begins they hold 13 cards each!

Well, I understand Polish and I have no idea what you are talking about. I am also most impressed that you have watched the entire doco without understanding a word and yet have actually managed to form an educated opinion about it.

Why should anyone test for free a program which makes money for you?

Had a look at the website just our of curiosity. That's one ugly and poorly functional site. Looks like a barely changed basic template. Hope nobody was paid to “design” it.

Weak Opening Systems, to give them their proper name, were not banned because they are “difficult” or “artificial” but because they happened to be invented outside the usual “circle of influence” in the WBF and especially the American players didn't feel like learning a new method.

Brilliant. How to throw mud without any personal consequences. On the other hand and after analyzing the very same results I have come to a different and yet just as plausible conclusion - a number of pairs which has never cheated before has decided to start doing so during the championships thus improving their performance.

I'm sorry, if both pairs are absent minded enough to enter the same incorrect score, both deserve whatever they get.

It doesn't matter. if both sides have to enter the details, on two different Bridgemates, such errors will be flagged automatically.

For most kinds of errors - use two Bridgemates (or two smartphones with scoring appss) per table - one per partnership. Any discrepancies, different entries by both sides, could be automatically flagged.

Careful Chris, you are about to become branded as a troll. Questioning authorities seems like a dangerous past time on Bridge “Winners”.

Seems like now very little has been left unsaid now once Mr. Welland has vented his spleen. “This is not the way bridge is meant to be played” - this is surely also not the way one should express inflammatory, blanket accusations as well.

Or just take a deep breath, tone it done and stop assuming that you are always right. Could also think for a moment that other people can have their opinions too. Just a though.
