Why not, when defending get all the explanations partner
got during the auction before the opening lead is made. I
think this will avoid many appeals based on misinformation.

I believe that caffeine is a diuretic. If coffee and tea
are banned you might as well close down the tournament.

To do otherwise would appear discriminatory.

A free bid of 1NT should be constructive. The 2NT bid
should be invitational opposite 8-10. Could be off shape for notrump opener.

I believe Irina Levitina is on a stamp in honor of her
chess accomplishments.

I was told that the double is not alertable but when a new suit is
bid after the double, an alert is required.

Isn't E/W entitled to redress when N/S. due to the infraction, achieve a favorable
result they couldn't achieve normally?

Perhaps in Championship events, the participants should be required to check their results afterwards. They would then confirm with the directors if they are correct or not. If they arei still wrong there could be very large penalties for signing off on incorrect scores.

I didn't see any reference to 1NT response to a minor. Does this mean all agreements there are illegal?

A source of income for the site is based on the people who view it and click on ads. I think the sites owners should be responsive to their opinions even if they do nothing to maintain the site.

I would play Ace and another diamond (second best play in that suit but only slightly). If that fails, play king of clubs and finesse.

Why are you not allowed to know the meaning of specific bids?

I don't think anyone should be forced to have to read your cc. I think the polite thing to do is tell them “I will answer your questions as soon as I finish reading your conventon card”.

I would suggest not playing against either one of them.

I am so pleased that my gamble in the bidding worked. We are better off than pairs playing 1NT. Bidding on is gilding the lily.

Technically can't the opening lead out of turn be accepted?

We haven't seen their version of the evidence yet. It is hard to be convinced by something that hasn't been shown.

Since there is no entry to diamonds if the Ace of hearts is held up, any line that works is
good. You deserve your beer. Your partner might argue that the opponents colluded with you by bad defense so they should give you the beer but I don't know enough about beer card law to answer that.

According to Law 2, if East is marked on the board as Vul, but not West, so shall it stand?

Regarding David Babcock's comment about asking about an unalerted bid, because a bid isn't alertable a partnership may still have agreements about it which you are still entitled t know. The question might give partner UI but that is a different issue.
