Terrible ruling. Contract should be rolled back to 4H.

I like 4H instead of 4D, which will let South bid RKC.

Clear UI and score should be adjusted.

If I was sitting East, I would tend to balance with 3C or DBL especially playing matchpoints.

After the hesitation, I simply must pass since the UI makes it more appealing to bid 3C or DBL.

With my regular partner, this is a forcing situation at IMPS. I think it is superior although I would never assume it is forcing if not discussed.

I would not open the E hand.

How about a simple:

1H - 2C
3S

East can now drive the hand to slam

For those who don't believe there is no cheating on BBO, at least two people have admitted to me that they cheated on BBO. They did not really consider this cheating. They were in the same room and they thought it was fun getting masterpoints galore. I think the unethical player does not consider what he is doing to be anything major. For the honest player, it's a horrible feeling.

The tempo of the lead was weird: it was incredibly fast. I ran the poll to confirm that the lead was impossible. Since many people think a heart is possible/logical, my example was not the best. Still, the problem of unethical players on BBO is real.

The reality on BBO is that unethical players are protected and honest players are punished. I think BBO and directors need a totally new approchach. Basically, nothing ever happens. This needs to change. Perhaps this hand is not a good example and EW are honest players. If so, I apologize. I am sure honest players who play as much as I do on BBO feel exactly like I do and are so sick of the actual situation.

This is in no way a restricted choice situation. It is simply an example of vacant places. Playing for the drop of the 10 is the percentage play (52-48). A 3-1 break is more likely than a 2-2 break but that is irrelevant here. The decision is between 1-1 and 2-0 and the 1-1 break (52%) is more likely than a 2-0 break (48%).

If LHO plays the K in perfect tempo, I may decide to play him for a singleton but it would be, in theory, against the odds.

If I had the North hand at IMPS, I would always bid game after after 1H (DBL). My kings might be the equivalent of aces and partner will have a lot of information about the position of the missing honors (and perhaps the trump position).

If my partner does not alert 2C, I now have unauthorized information. Everything changes. Can I justify this 4H call to a committee? I don't think so. Therefore, I would pass. Active ethics requires me to bend backward and not use the unauthorized information.

Awful ruling. North clearly used the UI. South would pass over 3H.

At the top level, it may actually be more than 60%

At the club game level, it is probably 30 to 40%.
