We played “no peek” in Toronto in the late ‘60s. Sure livened up the club games, especially against the LOL’s. :-)

Fred, thank you for such a wonderful tribute to a wonderful human being. Your story brings back many memories of your generation bursting onto the Toronto bridge scene with all your enthusiasm, chutzpah, and success. David and Mark were teammates on the Canadian Bridge Federation online bridge team together with John Gowdy, David Turner, Michael Schoenborn, and myself for the last 3 years and were a pleasure to play with. Always the consummate gentlemen. I also had the pleasure of being with David and Mark in Vancouver last May when they won their 2 Gold medals at the CNTC. I will always treasure the memories. I was at David's shiva last week and met his wonderful parents and family. I will never forget David. May his memory be a blessing. RIP David.

In drerd mein gelt! Probably next year at this time we'll get the explanations as to why this didn't work and we only lost “x” amount of dollars on another failed initiative.

Let’s see, travel costs, accommodations, food, entry fees and miscellaneous all add up. Maybe I can get more bang for my buck doing other things. Don’t need the aggravation.

He probably meant 3NT as the “unusual NT” showing the 2 lower unbid suits - H's and D's.

You are missing the K, 6, 2. When LHO plays the 6, unless he is false carding, playing the A is not going to drop the stiff K. Therefore I take the finesse.

If the ACBL will fly me in from Toronto and put me up at the host hotel, I'll do the vugraph for free.
