What's the rush? I go out of my way to try and find a bid when holding RHO's suit but am cautious when holding LHO's suit.

I have lost more matches by passing here than by bidding.

If I don't open then I am not going to bid 3 or 4. And if I open and pass later because the opponents have bid and raised their major, have I shown this hand? BTW, I would like to see your proof.

I'm not sure that partner, with a soft 5332 hand would always check back. Is opener allowed to jump to 3NT over the checkback bid? If not, then responder may not be able to show an invite when using checkback.

i'm surprised 2 got such an overwhelming majority. This is the kind of hand Gazzilli was invented for (2NT showing a good 64 but less than 17). But since I'm not playing it I will bid 2H.

3 is putting all your eggs in one basket, and not a very sturdy one. 3NT has more chances and the payoff is better.

Am I supposed to pass 4? If partner can play opposite a void why did he bother to show s? Maybe this is a slam try? I think it's just a suggestion and I am ignoring it.

I am more concerned about missing slam than being overbid.

I don't like my dbl but I like pass even less. Partner is not supposed to reopen with 3+ s unless very strong. At least the dbl gives him a chance to rebid 1NT.

too good for a preemptive raise unless partner's opening is limited .

Standard is for pass to show some values. Since I can't find out all I need to know, just 6

That was Brad's (and my) question. And BTW, how do you invite in s?

4NT should show clubs and a major but probably 65. That's as close as I can get but I wouldn't argue with 5 or even pass.

I'm surprised neither opponent has bid so far but I won't wave the red flag in their faces. 4 is the bid most likely to get them to bid 4. 2NT will probably keep them out.

4 might work out but partner will always play you for a 5 bagger
