Why do I get the feeling that this is an ATB post? If this one makes it is definitely partner's fault. I have 2 1/2 QT's and 4 trumps. I would expect -2 at least.

Since I don't have much interest in s and not much in the way of a source of tricks I will only invite by bidding 2NT.

Can I just pay the $40 and get some master points? I really don't have any inclination to actually play. Don't you just love the ACBL?

At first I passed but when I saw that I was alone, I took another look and saw that the opening was 3, not 3 :)

By not opening 2 you are deciding to bid this hand all by yourself. If the opps preempt you are never going to be able to accurately describe it anyway.

I hate to make a non-forcing call to a spot I don't want to play. I'll take a chance on missing 6 to give me a better chance to get to 4. After all, this is a 5 loser hand.
