What was 2:
ask for stoper
ask for half-stoper
just forcing?

Good point Martin! To solve this problem properly we need to make a research or simulation.

I assume that with minors pd would bid 4NT.

It is a very good example - for bridge adepts - for the principle:
Takout double is for takeout!

May be it is worth to discuss the following topics:
1. Is W going to continue hearts or he can change to other suit?
2. In which circumstances W can duck?
3. Assume W wins and continues a small heart. What is your choice: 10 or 8?
4. Did you find a topic, for which it matters your choice in the second trick.

4 is not an absolute nonsense.
After this cue bid they can think that it is better to be silent! But we must start a prayer for pd's 4 bid. This prayer gives nothing if pd has Q10xxx…

With Q96 I'd lead clubs.

3 would be: ask for stoper or showing stoper. Or general forcing?

Great majority of responders shares my opinion.
If clubs are divided between W and E: Fxxx - F8 we must play x.
Assume we play J.
1. We do not take 3 clubs tricks in case: KQ - 8xxx.
2. It is true that W can (or even must) put figure from Fxx, but we earn nothing because in this configuration we always take 3 tricks.
3. The only - possible - gain of J is configuration: 8xxx - KQ. But still we must guess.

Pd has to hold 4 hearts. It depends on priorities of my actual pd if he has to hold 3+ spades or not.

Frankly speaking I do not know if games I play are novice. Most of them are BBO (normally pairs) tournaments and robots individuals. The only thing I'm interested is interesting partner. Yes, in these tournaments pd's AJx is possible!

Pass is fatal IMHO. In few seconds pd will lead a diamond :-(
Dbl is a bit better but it also may finich the bidding if pd has AJx or something similar.

Probably it is time to solve the problem! I invite participants to advocate their choices.
Tomorrow I will present my reasoning.

NT contract is bad because of weakness in hearts. Situation would be much better if pd has 10.
The bidding definitely favors the Hearts lead. Fortunately they did not decide to make it.

Double is far from obvious at MPs in this vulnerability and after pd's two passes. Even if we set them -1 it can be bad result when comparing it with 110 for 2.

May be it is not clearly underlined (but it is very important): IN THE THIRD ROUND OF CLUBS, E DID NOT FOLLOW.

Hi Jurek!
It is difficult to believe but the only way to set our contract was to underlead KQJ in clubs! In the second trick.
