This was board 23 in Segment 4 of the Spingold Semi-Finals. Fantoni sitting North, Nunes South. At the other table, the Pan-China pair of Ju and Z. Shi had a 1-3NT auction. Both sides took 10 tricks for a push board.

I think most of you know where I'm going. I've seen old threads on BW that debate the legality of this agreement.

My understanding is that if they are going to open these hands 1NT in ACBL-land, they shouldn't be playing methods like this to discover that hand pattern.

The following is from the super-chart:

For NABC+ events in which this chart is permitted, pairs playing SuperChart methods must furnish the above descriptions of their methods to the Director in-Charge of the event the day prior to the session in which they choose to play them.
