NS play a (mostly) natural system. The 2 bid in the second round strongly suggests 5-4 in the minors, although a 1 opening followed by a 2 rebid may be made on rare occasions with 4-5 shape and minimum if the diamonds are strong and the hand does not look notrumpish.

The 3 bid is invitational. If it matters, 2 over 2 would have been constructive (something like 9-11). Other potentially relevant rebids by responder are basically normal: 2 artificial and gameforcing, 2NT and 3 natural and also invitational.

North broke tempo before jumping to 3, maybe 30 seconds.

Which of these two hands is North more likely to hold (spot cards are explicit, so there is no inference from the dealing probabilities)?

That is: with which of these hands is North more likely to bid an out-of-tempo 3 than an in-tempo 3?

Equally likely to hold either
