the strong 2C opening, jacques Faure

the strong 2C opening,     jacques Faure

1) opening: two clubs: is perfect for NT and one suited hands G-2 or G-1 it is also almost perfect to show two suited Majors hands,

2) we sacrifice the weak -2♥ , opening which now is strong as it was years ago (8 tricks 5 losers). ….the loss is not terrible...

3)  the Response is always -2♦

1) opener shows right now two suited Majors hands :

-3♥ = 4♠,6♥ ,

- 3♠, = 6♠,4♥ , ( not perfect)

-3NT = 5♠,5♥

-4C = 5,6 , ♠,+ ♥ , R- 4 ♦, ask the longer

-4NT = 5,6 ,+ void    R-.5C, ask which

3) opener shows a NT or one suited hands G-1 (FG)

opener rebid - 2♥ , now this bid is free to show those types FG hand,,

- R’ -(second response)

1) R’ -3♦ -= 0 or only 1 control---now opener bid Game

2) R’ -3C = 0 or only 1 control but a shortnessopener -3♦ = ask which

if R got more Responses are :

1) R’-2 NT  is the priority it shows Kings ,at least 2, this allows playing NT from the good side ,-then opener 3C, a clear underbid ask for Aces.

2) Without 2 kings part shows Aces:-3 ♥ , = 1A-4C, = 2 A ...

then opener -4♦ (also evident underbid) ask for kings if needed

N B: the only wrong sided contract is in ♦, !
