Before leading South said that 2C should have been alerted (South insists on playing suit lead transfers and thought 2C was showing a constructive diamond raise) The director was called and North explained that South was confused since suit lead transfers only apply after a double of an opening bid??? The director said play the hand out with the result being E-W down two for  -300 and a zero. NS can make 2N, 2H or 3D. Seven E-W pairs were in 2S down one for -50; one E-W pair was in 3S making; one N-S pair was in 2N down two; one N-S pair was in 3D making 3 for 110. Had East not taking the belated 3S bid with an RHO opening hand and presumably 10+ pts in LHO'S hand,  N-S would have played the hand at 3D making for a tie for top. The score was adjusted to avg for both N-S and E-W. No explanation was given for the rationale in adjusting the score. I f you were the director how would you have ruled??
