Multiple lines in 3NT

Playing in the match pointed pairs at the Midsummer Tournament in Finland last weekend, most were in 3NT on this hand.

South led the 5 (4th from good, top of three or more small).

A calculator helps with the precise odds of the diamond suit coming in for five tricks (51%), but we'd all know that playing the normal line in clubs for five tricks is better (69%), but will lose a trick and give them the chance to signal. Perhaps running the 8 is a practical option, forcing them to switch immediately when hearts are cashing otherwise combining some of our options.

Other considerations are that entries are delicate (which hand takes the first trick?) but the hearts might be blocked or 3-3.

What do you think is the best line?

(I see Aleksis, or his partner, played it from the West hand on a spade lead)
