E/W are advanced players, not experienced in dealing with brown sticker bids.   N/S are experts, but had not finished discussing about all methods when bidding further when this opening bid is used.

2NT = Majors or Minors.  less than 11 HCP minimum 9 cards in the suits.

3 = general forcing bid.  does not say anything about hearts.

3 = No alert.  (That bid should be alerted, wether North has majors or not.)

4 = Thinks North has the Majors

4 = To play.  West asks about the bidding and South explains that North has Majors.

5 = Time to run away  South says "North must have the Minors"  (but e/w say that they did not hear it,  because of people talking all around the table)

I really got the ruling wrong.  I (and 3 other experts) focused to much on Easts 5 bid.  So I let the table result stand.   But E/W had misinformation, and North had Unauthorized information.  So the ruling should have been 4 doubled,  9 tricks 50%, 8 tricks 50%
