After East opened a 12-14 INT, South broke tempo (agreed at the table) before passing.  West signed off in 2 and North bid 3.  East raised to 3 and South to 4.  West's double ended the bidding.  The table result was -710 for 4X vulnerable making.

I think there are a number of issues for the director to consider, and I am curious how you think the board should be scored.

Among the issues, I think, are North's bid of 3 after South has broken tempo, West's decison to double the cold 4 contract, and -- should part of the scoring be to consider the result in a spade contract --, how many tricks should be considered as won by the defense.

I think the skill level of the players could play in a role in the director's ruling.  EW are Flight A players, although not among the best players at the club. North is an experienced Flight B player; South, much less experienced.
