Defensive carding questions

I am curious how others would handle this carding situation:

I led the 10.  Declarer won the J (partner playing the 5) and play the Q which partner won with the Ace.

2 which I ruffed.  I now led the 2 as suit preference for  so partner would know that I had a 3rd  to ruff with. Partner took me for 5's and tried to cash his AK -- which declarer ruffed and drew trumps, conceding the Ace, making 3.  Full hand:
