Before starting the day we had agreed on playing Ghesthem, where the 3-bid denotes at least 5-5 in spades / diamonds. I alerted this and explained our agreement when asked. As she bid 6 I of course "knew" (or rather suspected seriously) that partner had made a mistake and was holding long clubs. However, I thought that I could not (yet) draw that conclusion from just the 6-bid.

What are my (ethical?) options here?

Made this a general poll because i am most interested in comments on my ethical obligations.

Pass
6 (taking 6 as an invitation for 7; since 5 showed a constructive raise, which 4 did not necessarily)
6 (..... asking about the quality of the control implied in the 6-bid?)
