Bidding over a precision 2

When bidding over a weak 2, it is common practice to give up preemptive calls to focus on constructive auctions.  How about over a precision 2 (usually 10-15, 5 or 6+ clubs depending on system constraints)?  Do you prefer to play the same as though they had opened a weak 2, or do you prefer to be allowed to preempt on weak hands?

I guess the question I am asking is whether you prefer a 3 level jump overcall of a precision 2 to be strong or weak.

I think it is best theoretically to play a jump overcall as weak, and that's what I play.

I think it is best theoretically to play a jump overcall as weak, but I don't have agreements as to the bid's meaning in my primary partnership.

I don't have a strong opinion as to whether it is best to play a jump overcall as strong or weak, as long as you and your partner have an agreement one way or another.
